UtahHuntingDirect LLC manages landowner Big Game Antlerless Mitigation Permits for thousands of acres of private property throughout central Utah. These permits are issued to qualifying landowners who have applied through the Utah Department of Wildlife Resources. They have been designed to allow the landowner to direct hunters of their choice to alleviate damage done by big game on their private lands. Also, they are used as an incentive for the landowners to maintain their properties as critical wildlife habitat and to provide more private land hunting opportunities for sportsmen and women.
Private landowner mitigation permits are similar to Cooperative Wildlife Management Unit (CWMU) permits, except mitigation permits cannot be obtained through a raffle or draw system. Private landowner mitigation permits are sold directly to hunters on a "first come, first served" basis by participating landowners or their authorized representative.
